Brilliant Design - Elegant Solutions

Installing enduring value…each and every time.

"Improving your curb appeal, and installing outdoor lifestyle amenties adds real value to your home… it is the home improvement that gets the BEST RETURN on your investment"

THE MAROTTE LANDSCAPES DIFFERENCE - OUR VALUE TRACK SYSTEM

Our unique approach to landscape design: every project should look like no other. With this as our primary objective, we had to develop a different business model. And the fundamental difference is this: We have no inventory to sell.
We carry NO inventory of pavers or retaining wall material. This frees us from the conflict that arises when design is manipulated to sell off the inventory.
We have NO nursery. Our designs are not prejudiced by the plants we have to sell.
Moreover, our material selections and plant recommendations are not limited to the local market of suppliers. We source our materials and plants globally. You see, what we have learned is this: When everyone in town buys from the same pool of suppliers, everyone's landscapes tend to look the same. We cannot abide such a narrow-minded approach, so our model for landscape design is different, exceptional and, quite frankly, liberating.
We first together decide what is right for you and your project. Only then do we go to our sources and get what you need.

THE MAROTTE DESIGN VALUE TRACK

Ron Marotte Landscapes, Marotte Design LLC, Careful and thoughtful planning begins, interview, proposal, scope.

Step 1: Getting To Know Each Other

  • The Initial Interview
  • The Proposal

IT ALL STARTS with a conversation during the Initial Interview. We discuss your interests, lifestyle, preferences, family needs, desired amenities and features.
We walk the property, look out your windows, and get a feel for the space.
We help you define the project. We listen to everything you say. We take notes.
We develop a Proposal for your review so that everything is spelled out in writing, in simple to understand language. We don't want any confusion. We believe in simple clarity. The Proposal outlines project goals, objectives.
At this point you accept the Proposal and everything begins!

This step is free.

STEP 2: The Concept Design Track

  • Site Assessment
  • Starting Plan
  • Concept Plan
  • Preliminary Budget

AFTER YOU'VE APPROVED our Proposal, the creative process kicks in. Foremost, is our goal to get you the most beautiful, the most functional, rewarding, and stylistically appropriate landscape—the most bang for your buck.
We begin with a Site Assessment by identifying those elements in the landscape that are relevant to the project, such as the house, important structures, trees, watershed, sunlight movement, views, soil conditions, house and plat plans, etc. We draw and annotate these important elements on a sheet of paper. This is called the Starting Plan.
Next, we lay a sheet of transparent paper over the top of this and let the creative juices flow. We sketch as an artist would sketch.
This approach expands the imagination, facilitates discussion, and saves you a lot of time and money. Ideas and solutions are kept at the conceptual level. Here we develop what's known as the Concept Plan. It is also at this point when a Preliminary Budget is developed.
Both the Concept Plan and a Preliminary Budget are presented for your review and approval.

Problems and issues worked out on paper are vastly cheaper than working them out in the field—we are very proactive in our process—our goal being to save you money.

STEP 3: The Landscape Plan

  • The Landscape Plan
  • Construction Documents
  • Material Lists
  • 3D Visualizations
  • Project Budget

ONCE THE CONCEPT PLAN is approved we quickly move to the next stage where the concept ideas are entered into a 3D CAD computer program and we develop the Landscape Plan. Everything is to scale, material and plant selctions are identified, square-foot and volume information is forthcoming—all with unerring accuracy and completeness. This process is critical to managing costs and obtaining qualified bids. With carefully prepared Construction Documents and Material Lists it's easy to compare one bid to another.
We can even illustrate the proposed project in 3D so you can visualize what it will look like before it's built. Our designs are meticulous, thorough, and well-considered—nothing is left to chance.
During this step we develop an accurate Project Budget that will guide and direct much of the installation. You are always consulted if there are adjustments to be made to the budget.

A good plan is essential for both homeowner expectations and correct installations.

We have a reputation for world-class craftsmanship, using the latest, most-highly referenced methods and techniques to give our installations unsurpassed longevity and functionality— giving you a lifetime of enjoyment and satisfaction.
As we manage your project, we oversee and direct all aspects of the development.

Careful pre-planning means a more productive and efficient workflow. This is highly professional approach to landscaping and we take pride in our exceptional work.

Time spent planning pays big dividends later—shorter installation times, efficient coordination of tradesmen, less residual damage and site impact.

Plan ahead, then plan some more…

GOOD PLANNING benefits the homeowner in many ways: It sets forth a cohesive stylistic vision for the project, identifies the amenties and features to be installed, uncovers functional goals and shows how they're to be realized, establishes a budget and construction phases, and ensures that everyone is working toward the same goal.
